Meghan O’Neill

Megan O’Neill is a content entertainment executive with 20+ years experience acquiring, developing, producing and distributing short-form hit content for multiple platforms. Megan is currently the Associate Shorts Programmer/Animation at the Tribeca Film Festival. She is also a consultant to new media creators, film schools and festivals.
As head of the content acquisitions and development department at Atom.com, she conceived and launched AtomFilms Studio, an original web production division focusing on emerging artists and platforms. One of her series was Sandeep Parikh’s THE LEGEND OF NEIL, which was selected as one of the Top 10 Webisodes to Watch by the Hollywood Reporter. Megan also acquired the most viewed property in AtomFilms’ history, JibJab’s “This Land”, which was a massive viral hit with 80 million plays. Her branded entertainment projects have included work for companies such as Sony, Mattel, Intel and Volkswagen. She has discovered and/or developed content with Academy Award nominees PES, Jason Reitman, Lisa Cholodenko, Bill Plympton, and Aardman Animation, as well as acclaimed creators the Duplass Brothers and the Fine Brothers.
Megan co-produced the Sundance Film Festival feature RELAX, IT’S JUST SEX, starring Academy Award nominee Jennifer Tilly, and licensed it to over 40 worldwide broadcasters, including HBO, Showtime, and MTV/Logo. She co-founded one of the first short film distribution companies and negotiated the sale of her company to AtomFilms after evaluating offers from 31 potential buyers.
Megan has been an invited panelist at over 60 international film festivals and industry conferences, including SXSW, Sundance, Tribeca, Montreal Just for Laughs, BANFF World Media Festival, Digital Hollywood in NY, Toronto Worldwide, Galway Film Fleadh, Aspen Shortsfest, and Clermont Ferrand.
